PRIMARY HEALTH CARE IN GUESTS TO CITIZENS

Around a hundred people population of Palilula were able within project “Health Bazaar” on Saturday, June 12 at the Palilula Municipality, to check their health for free on the spot. This project of health promotion and healthy lifestyles, which is realized in the organization of the Health Center Nis and supported by City of Nis and Palilula Municipality is intended for all residents of the city, especially to active working population. At the Bazaar of health in Palilula interested citizens were able to measure blood pressure, blood sugar levels, find the percentage of fat mass in the body, the degree of renal function, to review moles , determination of bone density, to educate for self examination of breast cancer and healthy styles life. Interested citizens is divided and educational materials with experts advice from doctors.

The leading causes of diseases and deaths in the Republic of Serbia is a chronic non communicable diseases (heart and blood vessels, diabetes, malignant disease - cancer of breast, cervical and colon cancer), which contribute to the emergence and development of risk factors for the most part related to inadequate health behavior as well as the factors heritage. "The risk of occurrence of these diseases can be reduced or eliminated by using certain promotional activities and preventive interventions - stressed physician Dr Nevena Simović, specialist in general medicine, coordinator of the Centre for the Prevention of the Health Center in Nis.

The main task of the Health Center Nis as primary health protection is to improve health and quality of life by eliminating the causes that lead to disease and health care system closer to users - said Jasmina Dimitrijevic, assistant director of the Health Center in Nis. We plan that “Bazaars of health” continue their mission and during the summer at various locations in the city. Slavoljub Savic, head of Municipal Administration associate , indicated the possibility of further cooperation Municipality with the Health Centre Nis organization of program “Carnival of Health”, which would intended for the population in the rural area and promotion of  health and healthy lifestyles.
